Session description:
The Systems Change Learning Guide is for changemakers, educators, and leaders beginning to build systems awareness and action into their work. It started with a single inquiry: What do we need to learn to intervene in complex systems? The guide has been developed by Raïsa Mirza and Jaya Ramchandani from the perspectives of educators leading young people into systems change work. In this 45-minute session (with a 15-min+ post-session chit-chat), we will walk through the guide and its features, engage in a learning resource blitz, have a discussion on where this guide meets your needs / doesn't as educators, and a general Q&A. If you already have any burning questions, add them to the comments on the SCEU platform and Jaya will weave them in.
About Jaya:
Jaya Ramchandani is an educator-practitioner working in social entrepreneurship and systems change education. She co-designed the Systems Transformation Pathway at UWC Atlantic College, coaching students through self-directed interventions in complex systems. Her practice grew out of co-directing India's first science-meets-art festivals, The Story of Light and The Story of Space, and out of creating interdisciplinary curricula and community-learning models. Across festivals, classrooms, and advisory work she designs frameworks, courses, and educator training that make personal, social, and systems change more accessible, achievable, and rooted in regenerative values.
